Built on the slopes of the hill that bears its name, Broom Hill was largely developed in the 70s and 80s, with many affordable homes boasting excellent mountain and ocean views.

Broom Hill is probably the most affordable neighbourhood in Sooke. With medium to large lots, it is popular with families looking for that large back yard and a an affordable mid-sized home. Many of the homes in Broom Hill were constructed in the mid-to-late 70s and early 80s, with some more subdivisions in the 90s. Many of these homes have been renovated extensively in the past few years, substantially improving the character of the neighbourhood.

There really is something for all price ranges in Broom Hill. One of Sooke's newest subdivisions, Stoneridge Estates, is under construction high up on the hill and features gorgeous custom homes with outstanding views and underground services.

There are numerous parks of various size in Broom Hill, and the neighbourhood is within walking distance to the commercial town centre and several bus routes go through the neighbourhood.
